Well, good luck to the Oil! They've been a tough opponent for the Stars so many times. It's been a while since we've seen a playoff match up
between the Oilers and the Stars. Those were always good series. East won the All Star match up...so are they gonna wrest the cup from the West???? Better not.
hehehe
Sorry to hear that y'all have been fighting the battle to stay healthy. What is it about this winter. It seems that it's been even harder for folks to
stay healthy...and it's hard enough during cold and flu season as it is.
Other than coming back with a cold, I hope that Texas was good to BJ during his training. College Station is almost 200 miles south of Dallas. I've been
through it, but haven't ever stopped.
Well, may the angels of healing hover close by so that y'all stay
healthy. to you!
Oh, my poor Stars...<huge sigh> However, things are looking up a little. Earlier this fall we were the worst team in
the NHL. Now we're within a reasonable reach of a playoff spot with a good bit of the season left to go. But with Zubie out, Lehtinen out, and Morrow (our
captain) out for the rest of the season...ouch! We're just riddled with injuries. But at least Sean Avery is gone. Whew! I'm very glad of that.
I'm glad to hear that you are now feeling better about work and are in a position to help the students. Very glad, very
glad. Too bad you won't escape the deep freeze, but it's for a good reason. The weather down here has been like a yo-yo. We'll be in the 70s one
day and a day or two later the high will be in the 30s. Up and down. We've even been up in the low 80s one day! Then the next day the high was around 42.
We're all running around sick. But even with the yo-yo temperatures, the winter has been mild so far. We've been fortunate.
Have y'all been getting that really bitter, bitter cold from the Arctic that I've been hearing about? Just thinking
about it makes me want to run turn up the heater. LOL!
Lol the oilers were in the same boat. Injuries left and right. Were healthy at the moment and I think we are actually in 6th heading into the break. So were
keeping our fingers crossed. The day BJ got there it was a 60 degree difference. We are getting the same crazy weather, we had one weekend that was really nice
but it has been awefully cold beyond reason. We are all getting sick to. Noah and I were sick the whole time BJ was gone and BJ came home with a cold too. Over
all so far our winter has been reasonable besides the cold we've been good blizzard wise at least!
Oh, would you look at me just now finding my Christmas comments... I've been fine, other than fighting two ear infections, one of which resulted in a
perforated eardrum. I think one round of antibiotics didn't clear up that right ear. So it will be back to the doctor on Monday. I've been busy with an
online technology mentor program so that I can be a certified mentor for other teachers. That's why I've been so scarce lately. I'm almost
through...just a couple of certification tasks and a bit of polishing. All of the reading and discussion assignements are done. The end is definitely in sight!
I'm looking forward to that so that I can get back here. I've missed everyone. Hope you and your family had good holidays and are doing well. , Jimilyn
I am glad to hear you are well. I have been doing greay lately, that teacher I wasn't getting along with has left so I am now the coordinator and teacher
for preschool! I am so happy! I was so upset that the children weren't learning or getting the learning experiences they should have. Me and my other
coworker have a lot of work to do to catch them up but we are happy to do it. I was almost going to be heading down your way, bj is going to College Station
tomorrow for fire training and I could have gone but have far to much work ahead of me now. So now I am jealous bj gets to get out this deep freeze we are
living in! How are your Stars doing?
